The GV Health Foundation team recently has a visit from local community member Peter Halliday, who dropped in a $1,000+ donation to support breast care services at Goulburn Valley Health. This latest contribution brings the total Peter has raised over the years to almost $5,000.
Peter hand-makes metal daffodils from mostly recycled materials in his shed at home and sells them for $5 each through the wonderful team at Riverside Gardens Garden Centre.
Motivated by a family member’s breast cancer diagnosis, Peter has created close to 1,000 daffodils over the years, helping to provide practical support for local women accessing breast care services.
There are many people in our community who quietly take the initiative to make a difference, and Peter is certainly one of them. Thank you, Peter, for your creativity, generosity and ongoing commitment to supporting women in our community.
Metal daffodils are available at Riverside Gardens, Emerald Bank, Kialla, with every $5 purchase continuing to support local breast care services.
