It was love at first bite at this year’s Valentine’s Light Lunch.

The much-loved annual fundraiser, hosted by Soroptimist International of Shepparton, drew 168 guests to The Woolshed at Emerald Bank in Kialla on Sunday, February 15, for an afternoon of cuisine, community connection, and entertainment as captivating as Cupid’s arrow.

Attendees were treated to an engaging address from GV Health Foundation director Amy De Paola, while Lillie Walker delivered a performance that had heads turning and hands clapping.

A raffle rounded out the event, with several lucky winners taking home prizes.

At the heart of the luncheon was its purpose: raising funds to support a postgraduate nurse through the GV Health Foundation Scholarship, helping to strengthen local healthcare by developing specialist skills within the region.

This year’s event raised an impressive $5000, which was formally presented to GV Health Foundation chair Stephen Merrylees and Ms De Paola by Shepparton Soroptimist president Katrina Mooney.
